Inbound SMS - Action-to-keyword mapping
This page describes each action that occurs in response to a keyword in an Mobile Originated (MO) message, lists the associated keywords for that action, and indicates whether the action triggers an automatic response to the end user.
Action-to-keyword mapping means that a specific action is triggered when an end user's message contains specific keywords. When Telesign detects a specific keyword from an end user that maps to an action ("stop", "help", "start"), we in turn notify you (so you can update your information or any opt-out list that you manage). Telesign then notifies the end user using a response template (success or failure) once you direct us to do so.
You can set up a separate response message for each keyword associated with a specific action so that each keyword can use a response message that is suitable for that keyword (such as different languages). For example, you can set up Inbound SMS so that if the end user sends "stop", they receive “You have successfully unsubscribed“ as a response message, but if they send "arrêt" (which is French for stop), they can receive a different response message that is in French.
