Telesign Phone ID Live Status quickly tells you if a phone number is still active, if it can be reached, and whether it is associated with a mobile phone that is roaming. If it is roaming, you can find out what country it is roaming in.

This information can all be used to prevent fraud. When you request a contact number for someone signing up for an account, you can immediately check if the phone number is in service and disallow use of a number that is no longer in service. You can also use status information to weed out bad leads so you don't waste time calling numbers that are inactive.
